INTERNATIONAL YOUTH POOL SUP CHALLENGE
Location: Sukoró, Hungary | 30 January – 1 February 2026
The Croatian SUP club officially launched its season at an international event hosted by the Hungarian Canoe Federation and partners in Sukoró. The competition attracted over 120 paddlers from 9 countries competing in a 50-meter pool at the Kovács Katalin National Kayak-Canoe Academy.
Five CRO-SUP club members from Rijeka participated:
- Tamara Sparožić and Mile Gaćeša (Open class, 19-49 years)
- Antonija Frković (Junior class, 11-15 years)
- Stanislava Laginja and Goran Smirčić (50+ class)
Sprint 100m:
- Stanislava Laginja: 2nd place (Women 50+)
- Mile Gaćeša: 3rd place (Men Open)
- Tamara Sparožić: 4th place (Women Open)
Technical 4 Buoys:
- Stanislava Laginja: 2nd place (Women 50+)
- Mile Gaćeša: 3rd place (Men Open)
- Goran Smirčić: 3rd place (Men 50+)
- Antonija Frković: 3rd place (Junior Women)
Fun Duathlon:
- Antonija Frković: 1st place (Women)
The team earned 7 medals total, marking Croatia’s first SUP medals at this competition level.
